Unmistakable. Forewings cream with dark brown markings. Hindwings yellow with dark markings.

May to July.
Larval Food plantsRibwort Plantain, Greater Plantain, Rockrose, Salad Burnet, Groundsel and Bell Heather on Heathland.
Habitat
In Wiltshire, mostly found on calcareous downland.
Wiltshire Status
Fairly scarce.
