 10.15 - 11.45. My usual route round the western slopes. Later after visiting Calstone I returned and in a different part of the down I found an small area of south facing slope with over a dozen MF caterpillar nests, some containing 2nd instar caterpillars and others 3rd - some way behind the ones seen on Ebsbury on Sunday.
