9.45 - 12.00. Same route taken as on 6/9 and 4/9 - it is interesting to see how the butterfly numbers have changed. Record RA numbers for me on the route, I think and also C. There were 9 C on a single patch of bramble, maybe 20 feet diameter. And a small patch of ivy, maybe 3 feet wide and 6 feet high, had 10 RA, 1C, 1P and 1 PL. The ivy along the route is always good for butterflies during sunny days in September, but this year has been exceptional.
