A brief break in the cloud, and some bright sunshine for an hour. The White-letter Hairstreak was approximately 500 metres west of the one I recorded on 8 July. So I walked the full length of the field boundary of Pinkcombe Wood/Oaken Ground Copse—1000 metres. And there is more elm present than I once thought.
