 Even though the air temperature was barely into double figures the ClYs were still able to move across the slopes more quickly than I could. Only when the sun disappeared behind a cloud did one of them settle on the ground allowing a picture to be taken. There are a few devil's bits still flowering, and clustered bellflower, but I think the field immediately to the south which has been planted with clovers, with both red and crimson clover flower heads still widespread, is probably the reason they are in the area.
