11 - 11.45. Seen on a walk from Faulston Farm to Middleton Down turning. I think the Droves are under-appreciated as butterfly habitat - they are terrific in spring and in autumn. Not sure whose responsibility it is to look after them - maybe no one, and that is why they are doing such a good job of providing a habitat for wildlife. I sometimes think that human intervention, however well intended, is often off the mark.
