11.45 - 12.15. The open access area to the west of Nyberg camp. On several occasions butterflies emerged from animal holes as I passed, presumably being in there to try to escape the hot, drying sun. Saw several groups of meadow browns, or individual peacocks, emerge. Peacocks seem to prefer solitude, which I can understand.
