11.15 - 12.00. Butterflies seen in the ditches and sunken track east of the white horse, leading up to Victory Clump. It had just stopped raining, and the sun breaking through the cloud was cue for lots of jostling for perches and claiming of territory amongst the butterflies. Didn't know Dukes were here - I have not visited at this time of year before. Also, I didn't venture off the track and onto the slope, so the local population could be somewhat larger..
