14.40-15.40. Clouds of butterflies on Saturday. Too many to count at times, a good excuse to stop and enjoy the spectacle. AB unexpected (photo), it is a while since my last. Of the first 18 golden skippers that allowed closer inspection, 5 were Essex - after that, I just recorded as Small. Peacocks very fresh, and many also seen in the wider countryside.
