Mixed feelings seeing butterflies at this time of year. Of course it is always a pleasure to see them, but at the same time they should be tucked up keeping safe. Maybe this one needed to find a new place to rest up - part of the hedge line alongside the Drove has been recently flailed. In any event, it struggled at first to get airborne in the crisp bright sunlight, but eventually was able to skim along the hedgerow and disappear over the top. Safe journey.
