10.30-12.00. The MFs at Cherhill this visit were much further down the route to "Greasy Fritillary" than the examples at Ebsbury a few days ago, which were much fresher looking and still having the appearance of the butterfly William Morris would have been proud to design. A real contrast with the pristine DGFs gliding down the slopes. Unusually the WBs weren't seen on the chalk tracks, but perched on a large patch of cow parsley.
