Brimstone (6)

Small Tortoiseshell (5)

Peacock (3)

I am not sure how the numbers of White Admiral and possibly the Purple Emperor will fare later in the season in these woods, as areas that were prevalent with these two species have been razed to the ground, with large areas of honeysuckle lost and a couple of sallows cut back. The silver washed fritillaries suffered a huge decline in these woods a few years back (and the numbers have not recovered) when they chopped all the trees in the area they laid their eggs and I hope it won't be the same for the White Admiral.
