 No Brimstones; Brown Argus doing well. I spotted a very unusual Pyralid moth, which in the book looks very much like Pyrausta sanguinalis, with 2 pinky red bands. In fact I would have been quite happy to record it as such, only to discover the moth isn't known to occur in southern England at all. Of course I desperately wanted a photo but everything was hot and lively, so there was no chance. So people keep your eyes out for it - I saw it on the slope about 50m above the horse chestnut tree.
